DECISIONS

STEWARD’S DECISION Nr 7: nr38 All-Inkl.com Münnich Motorsport Lamborghini

The nr38 All-Inkl.com Münnich Motorsport Lamborghini of Marc Basseng and Markus Winkelhock, which finished 6th in the Qualifying Race, was excluded from the race result by the FIA Stewards after failing the post race technical checks. The car was found not to be in conformity with the homologation form FIA GT1-102; specifically the overall width of the car exceeded the permitted measurement. The decision promoted the nr37 All-Inkl Lamborghini of Dominik Schwäger and Nicky Pastorelli into the final points scoring position.

STEWARDS DECISION Nr 6: nr7 Young Driver Aston Martin DB9

The nr7 Young Driver Aston Martin DB9 of Alex Muller and Tomas Enge received a 10 grid penalty after the team were forced to replace the engine in the car for the 3rd time this season (only two engine changes are permitted without penalty). The FIA Stewards issued the team with a 5 grid penalty for the 3rd engine change and a further 5 grid penalty for changing the engine during the event. The nr7 Aston Martin finished 16th in the Qualifying Race after starting from the pitlane and the penalties mean Tomas Enge will start at the back of the grid in this afternoon’s Championship Race.
