Lola-Lotus in LM P2

Running late in the development of their own LM P2, Lotus has not abandoned the desire to race a prototype... Two Lola-Lotus in black and gold will be on track in 2012.
Lotus has submitted two requests for entry to the World Endurance Championship in the LM P2 category. The manufacturer does not have an approved chassis, so it will draw on the expertise of Lola. Both B12/80 in black and gold to be entrusted to the German team Kodewa, will benefit from the latest developments in the wind tunnel.

On Thursday at 16:00, the selection committee of the ACO will reveal whether these candidates are selected for the 80th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Martin Birrane said: "We have had a very successful winter at Lola with eight LMP cars having been ordered. We believe that new entries in sports cars are recognising the technical capabilities and iconic brand of Lola. It is pleasing that Kodewa, sponsored by Lotus, has chosen Lola to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the Le Mans 24 hours, this year."
