Impressive live TV package for 2013 Dunlop 24H DUBAI


GENNEP (December 5th, 2012) – With just a little bit over one month to go before the eighth running of the Dunlop 24H DUBAI (January 10-12, 2013), Dutch agency CREVENTIC, the promoter and co-organiser of the event, together with the DNRT, announces an impressive live TV package and commentary from the expert team of Radio Show Ltd, the people behind Radio Le Mans, for the first international endurance race of the year for touring cars, GTs and 24H Specials. With over 14 hours of live coverage on Motors TV, presented by Nissan as co-sponsor, and live streaming on the website www.24HDubai.com and on Youtube, fans can keep up with the action at the Dubai Autodrome.

Coverage on Motors TV starts on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 with a two-hour report from night practice (15.00-17.00 CET). On Friday, January 11th, the starting grid, the start and the first two hours of the race will be shown from 10.30-13.00 CET, followed by another two and a half hours’ report, including sunset and a spectacular fireworks display from 14.30 till 17.00 CET. A further race update can be seen from 21.00-23.00 CET, while the final three hours of the race, the finish and the prize-giving ceremony will be broadcast on Saturday, January 12th, from 8.00-11.45 CET.

4,172 hours of TV air time in 2012, 84 cars on the grid for 2013

Like for the 2012 edition, Quattro Media will handle production and distribution of the television footage, including a 50 minutes’ post-race highlight show. Once again, the team of Radio Show Ltd, the people behind Radio Le Mans, will be on site to provide expert commentary, interviews and analyses, which can also be heard online at www.radiolemans.com. The 2012 Dunlop 24H DUBAI got no less than 4,172 hours of air time on television in Europe, North America, Central and South America, the Asia Pacific region, Africa and the Middle East, including 750 hours of live broadcast. Live radio and internet coverage at www.radiolemans.com also attracted a huge audience with almost half a million listeners. Media coverage is expected to increase even further for the 2013 running of the race as the event is becoming more and more significant in international motor racing. No less than 84 cars have been entered for the race.
