Vilander (AF Corse Ferrari) takes pole 1 in his debut

Toni Vilander will start from pole position in the first race of the 2012 International GT Open this afternoon in Portimão. The Finn of AF Corse, who is debuting in the series at the wheel of the Ferrari F458, posted a time of 1.43.766 and beated the Kessel Ferrari of Philipp Peter by 58 thousandths. Vilander said: “It took me a little time to adapt to the new tires, and cool weather does not help much to find a perfect set-up, but I am satisfied”.
Row 2 will be for Raffaele Giammaria (Black Ferrari) and the best of the Porsches RSR, with Marco Holzer (Manthey), while Montermini (Villorba Ferrari) and De Castro (Drivex Porsche) will be in third. The Villois Aston qualified 7th with Alvaro Barba.
In the GTS class, the first row will be for two cars of the Spanish championship, the Novadriver Audi of Camapniço and the Goodsense Lamborghini of Teixeira, which preceded de Ferraris of Zampieri (Kessel) and Bizzarri (AF Corse)
